As both designer and author Linda
Wisner has pursued multiple career paths, with graphic and
three-dimensional design a primary professional focus. She is also
designer and co-author of an award-winning interior design how-to book, as
well as editor and designer of dozens of other titles. A life-long interest in history, urban planning and design led her to extensive community involvement in that area and in related transportation issues. A life-long interest in the role food and the sharing of food plays in emotional and social well-being has kept her involved on both a professional and volunteer basis in the culinary world wherever she has lived. Wisner now lives and works from
her home on Sauvie Island near Portland, Oregon, encircled by over an
acre of gardens and meadows, across the road from grazing sheep, and
surrounded by the orchards, farms, and wildlife refuge that make the island
unique.
